Traditional Nepali Momos

Among the different varieties of Nepali food available, momos rank among the most customary and iconic. In simple terms, the momo is a stuffed dumpling that is traditionally filled with savory water buffalo (buff) meat. You'll find them listed on almost any restaurant menu or as a street food, as they appease a wide range of palates. The recipe might seem a bit tricky for first timers, but they are well worth the payoff! 
    • 1 lb. minced water buffalo meat
      • 1 grated onion
      • Fresh coriander (cilantro), finely chopped
      • 2 tbsp. ginger paste
      • 2 tbsp. garlic paste 
      • 1.5 tsp. coriander powder
      • 1.5 tsp. turmeric
      • 1.5 tsp. cumin powder
      • 2 tbsp. grated chilli
      • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
      • 2 tbsp. salt
      • 8 cups flour
